Crèche Cardinal Mercier

Day nursery enhanced with Art Deco elements, built in 1932 by the architect Jean Tombeur for the non-profit association Saint-Boniface; the right-hand volume was raised by one storey in 1939. It consists of two three-storey volumes of three and two unequal bays, the left one under a mansard roof. The facade is of brick enhanced with blue stone, the solid parts of the bays enlivened by bricks laid on end; the small-paned frames are preserved, and the openwork metal door is double-leaf.
