Town house in a restrained Art Deco style, built for J. Mattheys to a 1928 design by the architect Guillaume Meulenbroeckx (inscription). The sober three-bay, three-storey façade with cornice, in red brick generously combined with natural stone on a bluestone plinth, emphasises the tall bel-étage, pierced in the centre by a triple-light bow window with a domed roof and a fluted breastwork. The plan follows the bel-étage type, with the drawing room and dining room on the principal floor. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
