Town house in a sober Art Deco style, built for Joseph Lavigne, a dealer in ship's supplies, to a 1926 design by the architect Willie Pijl. The four-bay cornice façade in red brick generously combined with natural stone, on a bluestone plinth, is crowned by a mitre-arched pediment and enlivened by brick rowlock courses and a brick-mosaic frieze. The central axis culminates in a round-arched triple window with a wrought-iron balcony; the German-inspired decoration recalls the architecture of Jef Huygh. The wooden joinery and the front-garden railing survive. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
