This modernist house with a touch of Art Deco was built in 1935 to plans by the architect Urbain Roloux for Mr Lovrix, director of the Brasserie des Alliés in Marcinelle. On a concrete frame, the facing is brick on the two upper floors; the ground floor combines exposed concrete and painted render, and the base is in glazed brick. The house retains its period decoration, including stained glass and ironwork. It is recorded in the Walloon heritage inventory.
