Apartment building designed in 1919 by Joseph André on the corner of rue de la Montagne and boulevard Audent in Charleroi, for the mayor Émile Devreux. In the Beaux-Arts style, it has a facade of imitation stone that rises, above the original commercial ground floor, through three generously lit storeys picked out with balustrades and wrought balconies. The corner bay forms a rotunda under a dome, beneath a slate mansard roof. It is an early-career work, well before the architect's Art Deco phase.
