Town house with an Art Deco design, registered in the cadastre in 1936 and built for Leon Leurquin-Speeckaert; it is reportedly the work of the architect Jean De Roy, an attribution confirmed, according to the inventory, by strong formal similarities with his other designs in the municipality. A broad-fronted house of two bays and two storeys under a gabled roof of machine-made tiles, with a dormer and a decorative chimney, it is faced in orange brick on a bluestone plinth, combined with bluestone lintels, sills and bands. The taller right-hand door bay is emphasised by a ladder window in a recessed panel, interrupted by strongly projecting concrete lintels clad in brown tiles; a rounded brick bay window marks the upper floor of the window bay. The windows keep their timber joinery with fine glazing bars and geometric stained glass in the Art Deco style, and the recessed metal front door between curved jambs also refers to Art Deco through its decorative window. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
