Maison Art déco, Simon Stevinstraat 50 — Courtrai

This partly detached Art Deco house reportedly dates from 1939 and bears the signature "G. MOREAU ARCH. COMINES" on its base. Its yellow brick facade on a bluestone plinth with porthole windows has a slightly projecting entrance bay faced at the top with brown glazed brick, and a recessed porch with a rounded corner. Inside, the hall keeps its stone panelling and a wooden staircase with a closed balustrade, and the living rooms their moulded ceilings.
