The former Christen Werkers Verbond building, erected in 1930 to designs by the architect Lucien De Munnynck, who altered one of its bays in 1946. This Art Deco guild house of five bays and two storeys under a flat roof has a yellow brick facade enriched with red brick on a bluestone plinth, with pilasters on the ground floor, lesenes laid in diagonal bond and a strongly projecting cornice on Art Deco brackets. On the ground floor, the "Café De Gilde" retains its concrete columns and coffered beam ceiling as well as Art Deco decoration on the pilasters. The complex was renovated and extended in 1994 by Dirk Jaspaert as "de Nieuwe Gilde".
