This office building with a director's house was built in 1928-1929 to a design by Antoine Van Houtte for the Steverlynck firm, together with the neighbouring steam weaving mill and warehouses; the thread factory took the name BST (Belgian Sewing Thread) from 1935 and remained active until 1984. A brick building in geometric Art Deco, it stands out for its entrance bay with a large stained-glass window bearing the firm's initials. Inside, the large reception hall with whitewashed brick walls is decorated with bas-reliefs by Koos van der Kaaij depicting the stages of flax processing. It has been a protected monument since 2003.
