Maison Art déco, Dageraadstraat 47 — Malines

Terraced house of around 1935, between Nieuwe Zakelijkheid and Art Deco, signed by the architect Armand Verreyt. Its strongly hierarchical façade combines a projecting window bay, with a rounded corner and roof terrace, with a recessed entrance bay above a basement garage. The red-brown brick facing rests on a high bluestone base; the rectangular windows with stepped reveals have sandstone mullions decorated with motifs repeated in the ironwork, and the metal door is original. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
