Municipal school complex in Art Deco style, whose construction was approved at the initiative of Fernand Blum, alderman for public education, to plans by the municipal architect Adolphe Paillet drawn up in 1930-1932; it was inaugurated on 18 September 1932. It occupies most of the block between avenue Ernest Renan, avenue Voltaire, avenue du Suffrage universel and chaussée de Haecht, around a double playground. The orange brick facades are set off with blue stone and white imitation stone; inside, features that survive include covered playgrounds with stained-glass stairwells, a library decorated with murals and largely preserved laboratories. The east part was raised by one storey in 1966.
