An Art Deco office building and industrial buildings designed by the architect Hubert Dewelde from 1930 and enlarged or altered every year until 1935; in 1949 the same architect added a building in a similar style at no. 59 rue des Anciens Étangs. The elevations of two or three storeys, roughcast and punctuated by red-brick pilasters on rubble bases, are arranged around the corner building that housed the caretaker’s lodge and the offices. Its angled entrance bay, pierced by a round-arched door with its original ironwork, is flanked by two curved bays and crowned by a stepped gable. Sheds extend on either side, one of them under a high entablature concealing a sawtooth roof.
