Villa Marie — Roeselare

A villa of 1932 designed by Jules Van Peteghem of Roeselare for Marie Baert, after whom it is named. An L-shaped volume with a basement and two storeys under a slate mansard roof, it is dominated on the street side by a three-storey polygonal tower with a pear-shaped spire. The light red brick façade is enhanced by plant-motif Art Deco ornaments in white sandstone, and the staircase is lit by a tall window with coloured Art Deco stained glass.
