Townhouse in early Art Deco (so-called proto Art Deco), built in 1920 as the director's residence of a silk weaving mill housed in a rear building. It was designed by the Ghent architect Jules Van Den Hende for the silk manufacturer Emiel Justin De Coutere and his wife Gabrielle Joanna Plas. The inventory describes it as a total design, notable for its choice of materials, its high level of finish, the work of the sculptor Geo Verbanck and its references to the silk industry in the interior and exterior decoration. It has been protected as a monument since 19 May 2026.
