This townhouse was built in 1927 by the Belgian architect Géo Bontinck for Charles Vandeveegaete, a textile industrialist. The tall, geometric façade is clad in white shelly limestone and sculpted with two figures, a footballer and a spinner, recalling the local club and the client's business. A large stained-glass window by Jacques Gruber, depicting the mechanisation of textiles, lights the staircase. The street façade, the staircase and its stained-glass window were listed as a historic monument by decree of 26 February 2001.
