Art Deco town house with an industrial building behind it, both built in 1937 by Willem Janssens-Wauters; the open timber upper floor of the rear building probably indicates a cheese factory, a typical regional product. Although dating from the same year, the two buildings differ according to their function: the house is in a contemporary, sober Art Deco, the works building in a traditional and very functional idiom. The red-brick house with three façades, on a bluestone plinth, has two bays and two storeys under a hipped tiled roof; its cornice façades are decorated on the upper floor with recessed rendered panels painted white and open with three-sided bay windows on the front and side. The front garden is enclosed by a low red-brick wall carrying an iron railing between brick piers. The ensemble is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
