This Art Deco-influenced house was built in 1934, together with the neighbouring houses at nos. 34-36, to designs by the Tielt architect Albert Impe, for the traders Elodie and Theophiel Van Nieuwenhuyze and A. Vercoutere; it was created by converting the former inn 't Hof van Brabant. The five-bay facade combines a carefully laid facing of red brick on the ground floor and yellow brick above, with wide granito bands over the openings. The central bay is marked by the entrance under a canopy and a three-sided oriel with leaded glass, and the painted joinery has been preserved.
