The former "Movy" cinema with café, built in 1936 to designs by the Tielt architect Valère Lievens for Roger Lecat, a furniture maker who already ran a cinema in the "Feestpaleis". The plan included the café on the street side, the cinema hall behind it and a horizontal popinjay shooting range. The red brick facade, combining Art Deco and modernism, keeps its horizontal rhythm, a porthole motif with stained glass and a projecting entrance bay between lesenes. Partly altered in 1997 by the Claerhout office, the building now houses the "Malpertuis" theatre and still retains, among other things, the semicircular cinema ticket booth.
