Set like a ship's figurehead on the corner of the avenue, this curious Art Deco building was built in 1935 by the architect Edgard Ypersier for Servais Van Huffel. Entirely rendered in cement imitating dressed stone and covered with flat roofs, it has a taller entrance façade set in the corner, flanked by two lower symmetrical façades. The projecting entrance bay is marked by a semicircular balcony carried on two fluted columns and crowned by a rectangular pediment decorated with metopes; the side façades, pierced by a triplet of narrow windows, end in a rounded section with colonnettes beneath an entablature.
