Below the towpath quay, Seraing pumping station no. 2 is one of the main pumping stations upstream of Liège. Built in 1931, the reinforced-concrete building, alternating with panels of brick masonry, is characterised by a modernist style tempered by Art Deco elements. Partly fluted pilasters give rhythm to the facades and a polygonal turret crowns the station, which has a flat roof. It is recorded in the Walloon heritage inventory.
