The present Art Deco facade of number 19 is the result of a modernisation campaign of 1932, commissioned by the then owner, Theophile E. Van Oostveldt. As the building file cannot be found, neither the architect nor the original function, presumably commercial, could be established. This wide house of three storeys and five bays, in brick and artificial stone, translates traditional elements into Art Deco: cross-windows turned into corner oriels, pseudo-quoined surrounds and restrained geometric motifs. It has been protected as a monument since 2001.
