Saint-Quentin's town hall, originally built between 1331 and 1509 in the Flamboyant Gothic style, was extensively restored after the First World War. The municipal architect Louis Guindez created an Art Deco decor there in 1925-1926, notably the council chamber and the vestibule. He extended this approach to the mayor's office in 1927, a decor that has since disappeared. The council chamber, the vestibule and their 1926 decor have been protected as historic monuments by decree of 29 August 1984.
