Haarsnijderij Jacobs-Cogen

A double house of 1925 in the Art Deco style, formerly the director's residence and offices of a hide cutting and dyeing business ("Couperie & teinturerie de peaux; Ang. et Epouse Jacobs A. Cogen"), whose name appears in stylised cement lettering on the left side wall. The rendered façade has two storeys, with two basket-arch doors in the centre, two three-sided bay windows on the upper floor flanking a dated cartouche, and a chamfered ground-floor corner with an oval oculus containing its original stained glass. The neighbouring factory buildings have been demolished.
