Built in 1932-1933 by the architect René Dupire on land donated by the industrialist Gaston Motte, near the Barbieux park, the church was blessed by Cardinal Liénart on 24 December 1933. This pink-brick building, 45 metres long and 18 wide, is described as pure Art Deco. Its façade is adorned with a stained-glass window and a bas-relief of Our Lady of Lourdes beneath a stepped gable, and its bell tower was added in 1937. The interior has remained austere, with bare brick walls.
