Art Deco group of around 1938, according to the land registry, combining the café "L'Auberge" on the Catoirelaan side and two mirror-image houses on the IJzeren Bareel side, with elements of the so-called ocean-liner style. The café has a symmetrical, sculptural screen façade of yellow brick enlivened by dark brown bricks laid on end, rounded corner piers pierced by a ladder window and a full-width balcony faced with green granito; a central pier of brown brick breaks through the horizontal cornice painted red. The two houses have door bays carried up above the cornice, with a porthole window crowned by a pier. The group is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
