Café et salle « Le Romantique » — Genly (Quévy)

At the far end of the square in Genly, the café and hall “Le Romantique” bears the dates 1872 and 1929 on its gable, which the inventory takes to be the probable dates of the building's construction and of the remodelling of its facade. This facade is the key element: it gives the whole an Art Deco treatment that the inventory finds surprising in this location. The interior decoration, in the same style, is described as of good quality. It is recorded in the Walloon heritage inventory.
