A memorial inaugurated in 1937 by the American Battle Monuments Commission in memory of the American soldiers killed in the First World War. The inventory describes it as sober but strongly artistic in composition, with the modern geometric forms of interwar architecture and Art Deco ornamental elements. It is the work of the Philadelphia architect Harry Sternfeld, from a design of 1929, and honours the US 91st and 37th Divisions and the 53rd Field Artillery Brigade, which took part in operations in the area in 1918.
