Village house in Berendrecht built in 1938 for Joanna Philomena Gabriëls, who lived in it herself. From 1948-1949 the architect Louis Michielsens was domiciled here, but the inventory does not know whether he can be linked to the design of the house. According to the inventory, this semi-detached Art Deco double house is made up of varied, alternating volumes. The façade and the low street wall stand on a base of flat brown brick, topped by red brickwork painted white; the central entrance, under a wooden canopy on brackets, opens through a round-arched doorway with a moulded red-brick surround and a heavy keystone. To the right of the entrance, a semicircular projection with a conical roof, then a narrow bay window on a triangular brick base with a planter, alternate with the recessed left-hand bay; the tapering chimney against the side wall, in flat brown brick, forms a decorative feature. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
