Maison Art déco, Hoogstraat 6 — Beerse

Detached Art Deco town house of 1928 in Vlimmeren, with two bays and two storeys under a slate saddle roof with a dormer, and a slightly lower eastern extension. The brick gabled and cornice facades, on a bluestone plinth, play on slight variations in colour and bond; the projecting left bay, raised by a gable, has a curved oriel on the upper floor and a mitre-shaped top window. The original joinery survives, including the panelled door with fanlight, as does the typical front-garden enclosure of brick, wrought iron and sheet iron. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
