The town hall of Le Portel was built in 1936 by the architect Marcel Bonhomme, whose signature and the date are inscribed on the building. It has a concrete frame with brick infill concealed beneath render. Classical in composition, it displays an Art Deco aesthetic, notably in its ironwork. The building offers a contemporary interpretation of the belfry and carries ceramic bas-reliefs.
