The former main electricity distribution station, dated 1921 by its facade stone, is the work of the Lokeren architect Henri Vanden Broucke, who combined modernist Art Deco motifs with traditional elements. The Art Deco-tinged ground floor rests on a bluestone plinth; the upper part in natural stone bears a floral frieze, and the brick upper floor is crowned by two small lions. The facade has been listed since 1998.
