Erected in 1927 by the Tourcoing architect Charles Bourgeois, shortly after the canonisation of Thérèse of Lisieux, it is the first church in the region dedicated to this saint. Financed by the parish priest, abbé Delebart, and by the parishioners, it is built of reconstituted stone (cement aggregate). Its homogeneous Art Deco decoration develops the theme of the rose in the architecture, the furnishings and the stained glass, with ceramics by Charles Fourmaintraux-Delassus. The church was listed as a historic monument by order of 29 July 2005.
