On the edge of the Place d'Havré, perpendicular to the Chaussée du Roeulx, the former town hall of Havré was inaugurated in 1930; its architect, who has not been identified, also designed the municipal school in Rue Victor Baudour. The inventory sees it as an example of the interwar Art Deco architecture imbued with eclecticism, built of reddish Bray stone for the base, dressed limestone for the architectural elements and red and orange bricks to enliven the masonry. On a rectangular plan, the building has a high base and two storeys under a simple hipped tiled gable roof, punctuated by two chimneys. The front and rear facades, perfectly symmetrical, are centred on a slightly projecting bay; at the front, this bay is preceded by a broad flight of steps with rounded sides, carries a balcony on scrolled corbels and ends above the cornice in a double window framed by large pinnacles topped with spheres, while a stone cartouche identifying the building extends between this window and the balcony's French window. To the north, a small covered flight of steps once led, as an inscription in the stone records, to the library and the tax office. It is recorded in the Walloon heritage inventory.
