The former boys' municipal school, built in 1935 to designs by the architect L. Fernez, now houses the Academy of Music, Dance and Spoken Arts. Raised on a base of orange Grandglise stone, the building is distinguished by the Art Deco treatment of its façade, structured by bays of windows with projecting brick surrounds; the central bay is topped by an attic bearing the date. The end bays, treated as frontispieces, are crowned by pediments and pierced by tall windows beneath round brick arches whose tympana are decorated with a blind rosette; the original cornice and window frames complete the overall expression.
