A first cinema opened on this site in 1906 and was rebuilt in 1927, the date carried on the façade. Designed by Charles François Spadacini Faust and Rabagliati, the concrete façade is in an Art Deco style with Egyptian influence and is adorned with mosaics and sculptures. The hall retains part of its marble decor and a bas-relief by Alphonse-Alfred Bottiau. The auditorium was destroyed in the mid-1990s; the entrance and the façade on rue de Beaumont remain and have been listed as a historic monument since 11 July 2019.
