Albert Massez
Albert Massez, born in Ronse (Renaix) in 1871 and died in 1949, was an architect based in his home town, where he also served as town architect. In 1923 he designed a large weaving shed under 34 saw-tooth roofs for the weaving mill known as "Tissage de Louise-Marie" on the Molenbeek stream. In 1935-1936, as town architect, he designed the new state middle schools and the first royal athenaeum of Ronse, now the Dr. Ovide Decroly school. He also designed an Art Deco house on Léopold Sturbautstraat, signed on its plinth.
