The Bruay park-stadium was entrusted to the local architect Paul Hanote: the rendered concrete structure was completed in 1931, then supplemented by a swimming school decided on in 1935. The complex comprises a public park with a bandstand, a stadium, an athletics track, a gymnasium and an open-air swimming pool. The pool opened on 1 August 1936, at the height of the Popular Front. The complex was partially listed as a historic monument by order of 12 May 1997.
