Heysel exhibition park: the first five palaces, including the Centenary Palace (Palais 5, or Grand Palais), were designed from 1931 by chief architect Joseph Van Neck with engineer Louis Baes for the 1935 Brussels International Exposition and built from 1933 to 1935. Palais 5, in reinforced concrete, is Art Deco; the complex was extended later.
