The Spa casino replaces the Redoute, an assembly house built in 1763 by the Liège architect Barthélemy Digneffe. Rebuilt from 1904 to 1910 by the French architect Alban Chambon, it was again destroyed by fire in 1917, then redesigned by the Spa architects Marcel Hansen and Marcel Paes and completed in 1929. Its neoclassical-inspired facade follows the layout of the Redoute, with a stone balcony on massive columns, rotundas and projecting bays with Ionic columns; Art Deco appears only in some of the decoration. It was listed as a monument in 2023.
